Enjoy a 2-mile downstream float on the flat, slow moving waters of the Cape Fear River. Go over a Class I rapid and maneuver around a rock garden in the last stretch of the trip before the exit ramp. We’ll pick you up at the take-out and bring you back to the starting point.
This trip will take about 4-5 hours. Expect to encounter numerous Class I, and several Class II rapids mixed in with lazy stretches of peaceful water. Our shuttle will bring your group, boats and equipment back to Lillington.
This 2 day, 1 night trip starts 15 miles up the river at Buckhorn Dam. Paddle down 9miles from the put-in and camp at Raven Rock. Your second day you'll paddle 6 more miles down river to our office in Lillington. You can skip the camping, making it a full day trip.
Take some of our canoes, kayaks or paddleboards to a paddling destination of your choice. Come by and pick up your vessel an evening before or the morning of your trip. The boat is due back that day by the end of our business hours.
We utilize 4 access points covering 25 river miles. If you have personal boats that you would like to paddle on particular river sections, we will transport you and your equipment to get you back!
